Don't let the outlaw appearance of these guys hauling around on their Harleys fool you. While this is the most adventurous of their post-Tirol volksmusik recordings, Zillertaler Schürzenjäger are hardly the bad boys that the cover image conveys. That said, there are some interesting moments here, such as the Alpine-yodeling-meets-guitar-rock of "Setz di Nieder" and "Woasch Eh..." For every genre-stretching selection like those, however, there are several syrupy pop cuts that further indicate this band's main desire, which is to complete the crossover from regional volksmusik stars to successful popsters.

Die Zillertaler Schürzenjäger, also known as simply Die Schürzenjäger, were one of the most popular German-language volksmusik bands of the late 20th century, especially during their early-'90s prime, when they modernized their musical approach to much success.
