In its sound and ambition, Professor Green's second album has "victory lap" written all over it. The U.K. rapper somersaults across tricky cadences, twisted wordplay—check the knotty rhymes of "Never Be a Right Time"—and a dizzying range of pop-cultural references. His beats are triumphantly supersized, full of sweeping orchestral arrangements, soaring choruses and drum 'n' bass rhythms. Beneath the jokes and boasts, though, he wrestles with demons, railing against the industry on the bitter "Doll" and raging against his father's suicide on the poignant "Read All About It".
