This great revivalist band's earlier Rounder albums boiled down to a lone CD for a new generation of hungry old-timey fans. The band's free, adventurous spirit reflects its early 70s heyday but sounds as timeless as the tunes they play. Lively performances and unique dual fiddle arrangements make even the most familiar selections — "Fire On the Mountain" and "Way Down the Old Plank Road" among them — sound fresh. An essential re-issue and necessary addition to all old-timey music collections.
