This Business of Art is, in theory, Tegan and Sara's second album, but over half of its songs are re-recorded versions of tracks from their debut, released a year earlier. The production, though, is more consistent, stripping away their first record's electronic touches to drill down into crunchy, acoustic-oriented rock that bristles with energy thanks to the two young punks at the helm. Their knack for hooky pop-punk starts to shine through on tracks like “Not With You” and “Frozen”, where the twins cement their canny vocal interplay.
