Album Review

No nuance here, just straightahead, full-throttle garage grungeabilly, with a duh-hey attitude to match. Frenetic vocalist Shaggy Faust yelps the trash-luv lyrics with just the right amount of catarrh, Crank Spector and Johnny Lightning fire off round after round of string buzz, while the rhythm section of drummer Skeeter and bassist Rich Stitch bash with unflagging gusto...Don't even think about anything that motivates your brain. Just let your feet stomp to "Even Steven" (with some nifty twangin' courtesy of ex-Voidoid Ivan Julian) or "Eat My Dust," or virtually all of the goings-on here... ~ John Dougan, Option 21_88, Rovi
