Originally known as Stary Hadry, Czech group Chinaski first came together in 1987. The band changed its name as an homage to writer Charles Bukowski in 1994. Their first self-titled album was released in 1994. A groove-oriented rock band, Chinaski would have a prolific and popular career in their native country, with 2007's 7 hitting the top of the album charts there. ~ Chris True
