Experimental trio Genghis Tron creates intense, ferocious music that blends electronic elements with a black metal and grindcore base. The band does not utilize a traditional rhythm section, but compensates for the lack of drums and bass by using computer-based drum machines and synthesizers. After two EPs, Genghis Tron released their debut full-length, DEAD MOUNTAIN MOUTH, in 2006. The band’s sophomore release, BOARD UP THE HOUSE, released on Relapse Records in 2008, found the outfit diversifying their sound by adding elements of IDM, industrial, ambient, and noise rock.
