About Paperhouse

Patience is certainly a virtue in the music of Paperhouse. Not to be confused with an electronica act of the same name, Paperhouse believe in the slow buildup, writing songs that take their own time to unfold. Formed in the early '90s by Nacho Umbert (vocals, guitar), Beto Almar (programming), Alvaro Martin (keyboards), Alberto Lluch (guitar), and Ramon (bass), Paperhouse released their debut EP, Mundo Oz ("World Oz"), in 1995. That was followed by Planeador ("Glider") in the same year. (Mundo Oz was actually recorded in 1994.) Both EPs were distributed by the independent label Acuarela, based in Paperhouse's homeland Spain. In 1996, Paperhouse were invited by producer Kramer to record their first full-length, Adios ("Goodbye"), in New Jersey. ~ Michael Sutton
