About Ralf Hildenbeutel

A pioneering influence on the Frankfurt techno and trance scene of the early '90s, the classically trained Ralf Hildenbeutel is also an established composer of film and TV soundtracks. Early success came as a writer and producer for Eye Q Records. Work there as a background kingpin on Sven Väth's solo projects led Hildenbeutel to form Earth Nation with guitarist Marcus Deml. In 1997, he co-formed the production company Schallbau, creating hits for the likes of Yvonne Catterfeld and Laith Al-Deen. With time, his primary concern became soundtrack composition, a noteworthy springboard being a gold medal win at the 1996 New York Film Festival for Ralf Schmerberg's Hommage à Noir. In later years, there were solo albums such as 2015's Moods, before Hildenbeutel's production on records by Chris Liebing -- including 2021's Another Day and remix companion Another Night -- showed that club sounds were still close to his heart.
