Theme Park

About Theme Park

London-based trio Theme Park were formed in 2011 by brothers Marcus and Miles Haughton and their friend Oscar Manthorpe. Quickly making their mark with their own brand of synth- and new wave-infused pop, the trio released their first single, Milk, on London indie, Luv Luv Luv -- also the early home to Florence + the Machine. Inking a deal with Transgressive the following year, the group saw themselves supporting the likes of Florence and Bloc Party, before delivering their debut eponymous album at the beginning of 2013. Touring commitments and a handful of singles from the album appeared that year before the group retreated from the limelight to slowly start work on their follow-up. Over the next three years the trio worked with old friend Ben Garrett (also known as Fryars) on an ad-hoc basis, writing and recording what would become their sophomore album. The first results appeared in 2016, with the release of the single L.A. (Is Stealing My Friends). The album, Is This How It Starts? finally appeared in mid-2017. ~ Rich Wilson
