In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a child in Kindergarten, I was inspired to play the piano by my teacher, who was an excellent piano player. As I recall, she would stand up and play all different styles of piano songs. The following year at the age of six, I started lessons. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dire Straits, On Every Street (Remastered) Pink Floyd, The Dark Side of the Moon Remastered Wayne Gratz, The Wisdom to Wait The first choice is an album of my music and I feel it is some of my best work. I could listen to Dark Side of the Moon every day and never get tired of it. On Every Street is one of the most dynamic albums ever recorded. The production is epic. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My most memorable career moment was when I signed my record contract with Narada records in 1989. Seventeen albums later, I realized I could compose more than the 3 song demo I originally presented to the label.
