The idea is great

The idea is great ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The implementation needs to be enhanced, the player is not responsive in most cases for example when i press home or when i touch the screen for control buttons it never go home and control buttons never appears i have to close the application totally to go to home screen.

Conclusion: it’s a very nice app and idea but needs some enhancements this slow response player can kill the app, act fast and good luck.

We released a new version of the app that should have addressed this issue, but it appears that you're using that version. It may also help to try these troubleshooting steps:
- Force-quit the app and relaunch it
- If you have another device, double-check if the problem is specific to your current device
- On iOS devices, try offloading the app, which will remove it from your device but preserve the data within it

Thank you for reporting a problem with the TED iOS app. It's very likely that you're encountering this problem due to the age of your iPhone model, and possibly the version of iOS you're running.

We have received some similar reports that videos, or even the app itself, can take a very long time to load on older devices due to heavy resource requests that the device cannot support. The TED app is optimized for the latest hardware and operating systems, so regrettably that may mean that some features are not available on legacy models or software.

You might first try updating your iOS to version 13.6, if possible, to see if that helps with the issue. If you happen to have another model of iOS device that is newer, you can also help us pinpoint the issue by attempting to view videos on that device to see if the same problem happens.

As another alternative, you might consider visiting TED.com on your device's mobile browser. You will be able to log in and access the TED.com account features that YouTube won't offer, without the resource burden of the app functionality on your device.
