Simple and Powerful- Less is More
I’ve looked all over for something just like this where I can quickly access my daily, weekly or monthly calendar and this went beyond expectations by syncronozing all of the various calendars (work, school, personal etc.) within my collection. It’s very simple and that’s what makes it very powerful. It is not complicated, doesn’t try and do too much at all, delivers exactly what’s needed and more (such as little features like being able to select multiple days in the event list so I can quickly view what’s upcoming in the week or just tomorrow, color coding the calendars, easy to use keyboard controls etc.). The best part, it’s always available right at the top whenever I need quick access. No need to open the calendar app and change from day, to week or month...
Thanks for providing such a stressless, simple, helpful product for us all!
Great menu bar app
This app sits in your menu bar out of the way. It is very colorful and can go many days into the future though I just look ahead 14 days. If you put your cursor onto any date, it will also look ahead from that point on which others do not. I purchased Quickcal for a couple dollars, and while nice too with the ability to put new events into your iCal right then and there from the app, you still have to go into iCal to label it as an appointment, birthday or whatever and use your color coding system for these events. Calendar only shows you what you already put into iCal, but again, it let's you see ahead for long periods of time. I use it instead of Quickcal now because of that reason and the aesthetic quality.
Most useful app on my desktop
Having the calendar just a click away on the status bar is very convenient. Calendar in unobtrusive. You don’t know it’s there until you look up and see its icon displaying the current date. I like the way events pop out when clicking on a day and the ease with which events can be changed and entered. The calendar his a nice clean look in “day,” “week,” “month,” or “year” view. It syncs instantly with calendars on my iPad and iPhone. Plenty of options make calendar even more useful. I’m entertaining the idea of purchasing Calendar Plus in order to have instant weather when opening Calendar. I highly recommend this app to others.
