This app is on the right track, but not there yet
So having an app that lets you make and rate great roads is just what Ive been looking for. But the UI is not really great. Needs to be more fluid and easy to get a route. More importantly you end up jumping between this an your nav app. It would be great for this app either to act like a much better GPS once you pick your route, or more likely pass the route to your NAV, either Apple Nav, Google maps, Waze or Navigon.
Also, beyond just a start rating, it would be great to be able to filter in POIs on or near the route. Like you might like a nice drive ended with a great spot to eat. A lot of car/coffee groups like to make such runs.
Also, it would be great to some how stitch multiple runs into a greater trip. Like making a trip cross country where it would map the normal fast route, but show/highly some nice drives near that route that you could click to add and argument your overall trip.
Maybe they just need to sell out their tech to a company making NAV apps to integrate into the large nav app to make it more cohesive and have some of the capabilities I mention.
This app could have incredible potential.
I deleted it because on the few occasions I sat down to plan a road trip it is confusing and incredibly frustrating. On an iPad the screen rotates but the keyboard does not. If you try to use drop down menu and choose a category it does not insert it and you cannot manually insert by pressing return. In other words it is not user friendly or intuitive.
Not ready for prime time
This is perhaps a start (being charitable) but the interface is certainly not intuitive at all. It needs at the very least a good help file to get users started. I wanted to see what alternatives it proposed and/or what sights along the way I would get and the app provided NONE of that
