Ever wanted to be a hacker? Play Hack RUN! Hack your way into the heart of a mysterious organization to uncover their secrets. Hack RUN® is a game which uses 'old school' command prompts (like DOS or UNIX) that simulate a real operating system. Learn the commands of each system to help you navigate through your adventure.
As you hack into their systems, you will learn about the organization and the people who work there. Read files and emails to find clues and riddles which will give you access to more accounts. Data found on their systems will help you learn about the motives of the organization, and how dark their plans can get. You may also discover dirty little secrets about the employees as well.
Hacking into new accounts or discovering key information will increase your skill level. As you achieve your goals, you will move closer and closer to the final achievement; over 50 levels deep!

Good with a twist ending but gross at thestart
Hack Run should loose the "jokes" about womens' bodies, and loose the other times sex is mentioned. It feels really awkward for the narrative, and it's pretty gross to talk about women that way - even if it is just a couple characters doing the talking. I nearly stopped the game when the 'spanking' comment appeared. It really didnt move the story forward, and could easily be replaced with a smoother innuendo instead if the writers are desperate to earn a maturity rating.
I did keep playing, though, and saw that after the game passes by the sales reps portion, the jokes are lessened and the twist at the end was cool. Wasn't expecting to be playing a character-- in fact, I was expecting to rescue the person I ended up playing!
Passwords not working
So I would love to rate this game as 5 stars because it's challenging and fun, but when I cannot progress past level 8 because a password isn't working, that's not fun.
It was bad enough that Alice's password took a few times before it finally recognized "password" as the password, but now for another character, it's just not letting me in at all. I even looked up the password online and even used up one of the free 2 answers just to be sure I had it right.
Please fix this issue so that I may fix this rating.
And for those who doubt me or are just curious:
edit: If anyone else has these consistency issues, just keep at it. After a 10-20 or more tries, eventually it'll work. Moving rating up to 3 stars now, because things not working makes people think they are typing the wrong things when they really aren't, which can make the game much more complicated than is intended or necessary.
It was a cool game to play with. I like that each level is straightforward. If you get stuck you can get hints without revealing the entire step by step process.
I found that at times it was a little repetitive: go into person A's email, find out about person B, go into person B's email and find out about person C... But otherwise I feel the game tries to add variety to each step. Would recommend for a few hours of entertainment.
