Seeing your everyday life in a new way can motivate you to move more. Set simple goals (e.g. 10,000 steps a day) and start with small changes that can lead to a fitter lifestyle and healthier habits.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Moves has been designed to use GPS and other sensors sparingly. The app relies mostly on acceleration data, cell tower and Wi-Fi locations. The Battery Saving Mode will further minimize battery consumption when stationary in a place.
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT IOS 7+
Moves needs to run continuously in the background to track your activities:
Ensure that you have BACKGROUND APP REFRESH turned ON for Moves (iPhone Settings > General > Background App Refresh)

Wonderful app to track your travel
This app is great for tracking where you've been and how long you stayed. I use it for tracking donated mileage. It's so easy to enter places it isn't sure of and the place is often in it's top 5 choices so you don't have to type in a location very often. It's ok for tracking how much you have walked. It isn't intended to track workouts, especially stationery exercise - try another app for that.
Wanted to like it...
We have to track our exercise for a program through our work insurance, and I wanted something that could track more than one activity without a mess to figure out. I also got this because I saw on another review that it tracked a stationary bike which would have been even better for me. However, this did not even go half a day before I started having problems like other reviewers. 30 minutes on my bike counted as 6 steps, and when walking I watched it drop from 380 to 170 steps. Considering doing this means the difference between paying $25 more a month if not completed, I'll find another (accurate) tracker.
Enjoy this App's versatility
I've been using the app for less than year and like it. Works great on my new iPhone 6. Even though Moves is set to "accuracy" mode, battery life is between 18-24 hrs. Wonderful.
I created a moves account, and did not link to a Facebook account, so feel my data is secure.
Here are some features I would like to see in an update:
1-the ability to set a default activity. Currently the default activity is "transport", but I would like to specify "car" as my default.
2- I would like to be able to make/create notes for a destination.
3- editing a route would be nice, as occasionally moves misses a destination and it would be nice to be able to add it.
