Awesome Service, Mediocre App
Ordering coffee, devices and accessories works seamlessly. Other functions of the app, such as the machine description links/browser and the photos of the machine are spotty or don't work at all. The Store Locator map doesn't work well, either. Still give it 4 stars because I ordered a descaling kit at noon and it was delivered 4 hours later on the same day. Amazing. They know the machine shouldn't be used when it needs descaling, so I think that's why Nespresso sent the kit same day delivery. Truly stellar commitment to customer service. I've never been so impressed with a company before. Coffee is delivered with nearly the same urgency. I can't recommend Nespresso machines, coffee and this app enough. The quality of the coffee is amazing, by the way. I've never tasted such excellent coffee anywhere. Not in Seattle, not in Manhattan, not anywhere. Because of Nespresso I enjoy the finest coffees on Earth right in my own home. This app enhances that awesome experience. Once they get the bugs straightened out, it will be a truly flawless experience from all aspects.
Progress, yet Needs faster performance
I'm going to give Nespresso one more star for making 'table stakes' improvements for fixing some of their payment friction issues. Reordering capsules is quicker now and the persisting values (like shipping address and credit card info) at checkout helps a lot.
My biggest challenge to this world class brand is to think of their app with the same care and craft as their stores. Performance, native user interface elements and faster round trips to the server need attention. It's still painfully slow even on wifi.
Browsing: well done by putting capsule intensity on list view next to capsule. It would be nice to remember my previous orders and present that as a bundle... And hey, what about giving me an award every now and then for my loyalty and give me some sleeves for free. Surprise me!

What has bugged me for a while is the lack of persistence with payment info. If Nespresso moved to PayPal or Braintree it would be a much faster and better experience on mobile. I HATE entering my credit card info into tiny boxes. C'mon Nespresso, you're better than that.
Checkout needs better performance. You make a roundtrip to the server on every field I enter. This is slow and cumbersome. I'm in an app so make it faster and easier for me.
Browsing and 'add to cart' experience gets five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Expensive coffee, OK APP, but I'm addicted to the taste and convenience
This APP needs a little help. The most recent improvements have made it easier to get in and simply re-order, but even that could be greatly improved with "give me my usual - one click reorder". If I did want to "explore" I think the interface of this app makes it uninviting to explore/order different stuff. Also, since I'm ordering through the "club", I sure wish there were some perks for being IN the club? I get nothing... I pay for shipping, pay full price for the pods, etc.
I'm suspect other coffee makers are going to come out with pods that fit nespresso machines, at a lower price point. Nespresso needs to up the game on the "club" experience else it will be easy to buy coffee elsewhere.
