Violinist Joe Venuti's comeback after 30 years of obscurity began in earnest in 1969. By 1971 and his visit to Italy, he was fully back on the scene and would record quite frequently during his final seven years. This LP matches Venuti with a group of Italians on spirited versions of standards. The slightly unusual instrumentation includes guitarist Lino Patruno, baritone, trombone and a rhythm section and works perfectly on the material. An enjoyable outing.
