Reseña de álbum

Another in Satamile's roster of neo-electro fetishists, Dublin, Ireland's Decal play their electro with a Detroit techno influence, but only in the high-end, not the bass. Bleepy with plenty of chirps, Release Through Velocity is a satisfying headphone record more than a stomping floor-filler. The album keeps a traditionalist attitude toward instrumentation, but Decal's smart song structure goes deeper than the usual robotic precision. The abstract track "64 Guns" pits rival basslines against one another, giving the album its most frantic and unsettling moment. Otherwise the album keeps a low profile, sticking with a more cold, detached, silicon, and spacey feel.
