Reseña de álbum

This follow-up to Let's Spin from the previous year finds the Eddies with an new member, Prickly Disco (aka Adam Again's Gene Eugene), a little more silliness, and a little more novelty. Boasting 21 tracks, one gets the impression that they would have done well releasing the better songs for a really great album rather than lots of music with enough holes to rival a solid block of Swiss cheese. The band takes a step back lyrically, getting more forthright with evangelical Christian rhetoric on many songs which is distracting at best and artless at worst. Songs like "Hide the Beer, the Pastor's Here," like many novelty songs, are funny for a moment or two but become irritating upon repeated listenings. Almost startling is the sincere, heartfelt tribute to Billy Graham. This little one-minute track changes the whole record. Strong points: "Driving in England," "Hell Oh," "Hold Back the Wind, Donna," and "Rubber Sky." ~ Mark W. B. Allender, Rovi
