Iván Ferreiro found a loyal following in the ‘90s as the lead singer of Spanish rock band Los Piratas, and he has since broken out as as an acclaimed singer/songwriter renowned for charming, languid tunes. The Galician composer applies his raspy vocals to guitar and piano-laden pop-rock and ranchera ballads, and punctuates his songs with philosophical asides and romantic wordplay. He has performed alongside fellow songwriter Quique González on the country-tinged "Vidas Cruzadas", and alt-rocker Xoel Lopez on "Turnedo", a folk-flavoured number accented by a luscious horn section.
