Album Review

Super Hits is a budget-priced, ten-track collection that features a pair of Dan Fogelberg's biggest hits, "Longer" and "The Language of Love," which are balanced by a selection of album tracks and failed singles. Although many of these songs equal his hits in terms of quality, anyone interested in those songs will be happier with the original studio albums or more comprehensive collections. Theoretically, a budget-priced disc should appeal to casual fans, but there aren't enough hits here to make it worthwhile for that kind of listener. Even if the collection is a haphazard hodgepodge, the music is solid, and it isn't a waste of money — it's just that the money could be invested in better Fogelberg collections.
