Alipay is a leading open platform for payments and digital services in China.
Users with a Chinese ID and bank account can use Alipay to make payments online and in person at various merchants outside of China as they travel for leisure, business, or study.
Foreign visitors to China can connect their credit card to take advantage of Alipay’s widespread acceptance by tens of millions of merchants across the country. Alipay is not designed or intended for use by foreign users in their home country or anywhere outside of China.
With the users' permission this app can connect to Health [HealthKit] to enable users to participate in walkathons and make donations via the "sports" service. This feature is designed for use by Chinese users in China. It is not necessary to enable this feature to make payments.

Half-baked for foreigners
The user interface has been poorly translated from Chinese; some sections are still only in Chinese. None of my ”western” credit/debit cards are currently supported. My Chinese debit card works ok, but topping it up gets complicated.
Is it even legal to as a photo of the passport info page to be used for verification?
I cannot recommend this app.
Cant register
Register form missing lot of country codes. For example Finland +358 missing
