About Eugene Migliaro Corporon

Eugene Corporon is an American conductor of wind ensembles and bands, and a published scholar of band music. He is a graduate of California State University in Long Beach and Claremont Graduate University. Between 1969 and 1971, he directed the instrumental music program at Mont Miguel High School in Spring Valley, California. His career at the university level included positions at California State University in Fullerton, the University of Wisconsin, the University of Northern Colorado, Michigan State University, the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and the University of North Texas. As the conductor of the Wind Symphony and director of wind studies at the University of North Texas, Corporon directs the masters and doctoral programs. His bands have performed at many clinics and conventions, including the Conference for the World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles. Corporon has recorded on Toshiba-EMI, Klavier Records, GIA Publications, Albany Records, Naxos, and Centaur Records.
