Headless Heroes are the This Mortal Coil of the alt-folk age. Named for Gene McDaniels' cult soul album HEADLESS HEROES OF THE APOCALYPSE, the all-covers project is rooted in the partnership of Eddie Bezalel and Hugo Nicolson. With the support of backing musicians including Joey Waronker, Josh Klinghoffer, and Gus Seyffert, and the vocals of alt-folkie Alela Diane (who also maintains a solo career), the Headless Heroes debuted with 2008's THE SILENCE OF LOVE.
