Mauss are a French rock band led by singer/songwriter Fabrice Mauss that released a debut album in 2005. Formed in 2001 and based in Lyon, France, the band is comprised of Mauss (vocals, guitar), Yannick (guitar), Christophe (bass), and Mickaël (drums). The band made its full-length album debut in 2005 with L'Année du Chien on Mercury Records. While L'Année du Chien wasn't a major commercial success, it spawned a series of singles: "Cracher Mes Nerfs (L'Amour Est un Combat)," "Qu'importe," and "Te Quiero." The follow-up album Aux Dernières Nouvelles (2007) was more successful, reaching number 157 on the French albums chart and spawning the Top 40 hit single "Je Recherche," a duet with Charlie. The album also spawned the single "À 20 Ans." ~ Jason Birchmeier
