Mozes And The Firstborn

About Mozes And The Firstborn

Playing a loopy but potent variant on garage rock and neo-psychedelia (they call their sound "grungy garage pop"), Mozes and the Firstborn hail from Eindhoven in the Netherlands. They were formed in 2010, and self-released their first recording, an EP titled I Got Skills. After signing with Dutch indie label TopNotch Records in 2013, the group's first release for the company was a single featuring a new recording of the EP's title tune. Produced by Michel Schoots of Urban Dance Squad, their self-titled debut album earned them an international following when California-based indie label Burger Records arranged to release it in the United States. An EP called Power Ranger appeared in 2015, followed a year later by their second album on Burger, Great Pile of Nothing. ~ Mark Deming
