About Theophilus London

A genre-hopping rapper with ties to fashion icons and music legends alike, Theophilus London has been following his own muse since 2010. ∙ Following a series of mixtapes, he officially debuted with 2011’s Lovers Holiday EP, which featured such guests as Solange Knowles, Devonte Hynes, and Sara Quin (of Tegan and Sara). ∙ London’s 2011 debut LP, Timez Are Weird These Days—produced in part by TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek—reached No. 30 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. ∙ Released in 2014, Vibez featured famed R&B songwriter/producer Leon Ware and rapper Kanye West, who guested on “Can’t Stop” and also nabbed an executive producer credit. ∙ A noted fashion influencer, London enlisted designer Karl Lagerfeld to shoot the cover for Vibez and was invited to walk the runway at Paris Fashion Week in 2018 by Virgil Abloh. ∙ Along with Paul McCartney, he appeared on Kanye West’s 2015 single “All Day,” which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance. ∙ In 2020, London released on his own label the album Bebey, an all-star effort that included his collaborations with Lil Yachty, Tame Impala, Raekwon, Ariel Pink, and Ian Isiah.
