A Baltimore duo built around the autumnal songwriting of Jenn Wasner and the dynamic arrangements of multi-instrumentalist Andy Stack, Wye Oak fuse introspective songwriting with vivid polyrhythmic indie rock and pop. Emerging in 2007, the duo has issued a string of acclaimed efforts, including Civilian (2011), Shriek (2014), and The Louder I Call, The Faster It Runs (2018) that meld psychedelic and shoegaze influences around a classically indie rock songwriting core. Every Day Like the Last, a compilation of previously released singles featuring three new tracks, appeared in 2023.
