About Facade

Originally starting as a three-piece outfit featuring two brothers and a cousin, Facade decided to add guitarists for a richer sound. Near April Fools Day of 1998, the band added guitarists and high school friends Sean Humphries and Brandon Green. The group performed around Pickering and Toronto, becoming known for an energetic live show. The band also performed and won various battle of the band competitions. In 2001, Facade met producer Brad Nelson. Nelson, who had worked with the Headstones and Alanis Morissette, enjoyed what he heard and invited the band into the studio. The group recorded its debut effort and released the self-titled record in 2002. Facade has also opened up for Canadian classic rockers such as Goddo. The group won an audition for a television commercial as well, which assisted them in buying new equipment. They have performed at the North by Northeast Festival in Toronto. ~ Jason MacNeil
