Miss

Classy. Nice to have. Genuine jazz vocalist on the scene. Hopefully it'll make other singers rethink releasing histrionic dross. Anyway: buy it. I can't keep him my secret any longer

Actual perfection

I'm 15 years old and probably a bit out of place listening to this kinda thing. I'm a massive Jamie Cullum fan and discovered Gregory Porter on his radio show. So glad I did! I love how classic he sounds yet how he's a modern day musician who's still around and I'll be able to follow his career. ^.^

Chicken soup for the soul!

Discovered by me by accident when watching Jools Holland specifically for Seun Kuti (who I was seeing the next week) and I can honestly say this is the best vocalist I have heard in a long time. A mixture of some sublime easy listening (illusion) to some more free form jazz but never at any time being anything other than totally accessible to any music lover - a jazz afficiando may get most out of this but DO NOT be put off if you aren't one; listen to the itunes previews and decide for yourself.

Believe what you may have heard this dude's voice is for real!
