What a disappointment

It's a shame more than anything else. Two catchy songs which are actually great songs and what one would expect from the Vaccines. However, I don't feel they tried at all on this album. The production is the worst I've heard for a long time. Hissy, harsh on the ears and mostly distorted which is mostly unlistenable. Can stand to listen to about a song and a half at a time but then become extremely fatigued, which is such a shame. I guess it's one of those marmite albums eh?

I have bought every album produced by the vaccines, and I was extremely excited for their 3rd album but I found it to be an anti climax.
The vaccines are clearly going for a different sound from their first 2 albums which is what attracted me to them back in 2011.

I'd already heard some vaccines songs from their previous two albums but they never quite pulled me in like this album. This was a fun listen although if I had to criticise one thing it would be the end of the album, it feels like it veers off into nowhere with a painfully slow end.
Fav track:Denial
Least fav track:Give me a sign
