iTunes Review

A year on from their debut, two of Busted have left their teens–which simply means refocussing their hormonal affections from schoolgirls and teachers to brides (“Crashed the Wedding”) and the titular “Air Hostess“ (“I messed my pants when we flew over France”). Moving ever closer to Blink 182, their riffs have got louder and their basslines grungier, while the hooks are still pin-sharp. Wisely they’ve also retained their sense of mischief–even if “Why” confidently opens a path into earnest hard rock.

Under-rated and Misunerstood...

No-one seems to quite understand the pop-punk phenomenon that was (sadly) Busted. I'll give you that the Thunderbirds song was indeed a mistake (and probably their tragic fall) but if you discount that then most of their stuff was pretty alright. Some of the song lyrics aren't quite - how shall i but it - mature, but to be honest thats why i liked it! The real songwriting talent was James Bourne and i'm sure he'll go on to do well in his post-busted project 'Son of Dork.' However having said this we cannot discount the smouldering hunk that was Charlie - although his new band Fightstar is not quite my thing, they do make good music on the whole and i hope he suceeds too. We still need to hear from Matt though! Any one know what he's doing now? The thing about Busted is to take them for what they are - good fun, not music to turn to when things get rough.

something that wont be forgotten

as an album, not as good as some, but these guys and their music have definately made their mark. By me, if not by everyone else, their music will be rememberd forever, and will always be my favourite. i will never grow tired of it because they didnt give me a chance to. they quit while they were ahead. i would have loved to see a third album, and its a shame that they never finished it, but this album is enough to keep us going, its got really great songs, each one with a different taste. For meaningful songs, try '3 A.M.' or my favourite, 'Why', if you want something amusing or stupid, look at 'Air Hostess', or 'Crashed the Wedding' or 'She wants to be me'. The rest are simply for those who love music, for the fun of it, or something more serious, depending on which way you want to look at it. Listening to them makes me think about old times, those times really were terrible, but i miss them because they were more simple, and busted will always bring back those memories, this album in particular.

Best Busted Album

This is probably Busted's best album yet. There is a song for everybody here, with fast pop rock songs like Air Hostess and Crashed the wedding to slow meaningful songs like Who's David and 3AM. Definetly buy some songs here. A very good album by them, well done. :]

Formed: 2002 in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Originally grabbing the public's attention with their hooky punk and emo-pop sound, Britain's Busted broke up in 2005, only to re-form a decade later as a sophisticated synth pop and disco-funk-influenced outfit. Hailing from Essex, Busted were formed in 2000 by longtime friends Matt Willis (vocals, guitars, keyboards) and James Bourne (vocals, bass). After some lineup changes, Suffolk-born Charlie Simpson (vocals, guitars, drums) joined and the band was solidified. In 2002, they debuted with a playful...
