iTunes Review

Leicester-based Kasabian’s new album, 48:13, strides confidently through a varied spectrum of rock’s most vivid colours. Dashing between punchy, guitar-driven anthems (“stevie”, “bumblebeee”), pulsing, synth-laden rave-ups (“treat”, “eez-eh”) and spacious, hip-hop-inflected psychedelics (“glass”), the Brit rock band’s fifth studio endeavour showcases their taste for instrumental complexity. With its production polish and arena-filling thunder, 48:13—a reference to the album’s running time—is a breathtaking ride.

Haters gonna hate...

Fresh sounds from easily the best band going. As with every Kasabian album released to date, it takes a little time to warm to the songs but once you are there, it's original music at its best. For the moaners and haters putting this down before it's even been released, you need to get a grip. It's REAL music! Not like 95% of the chart music out there. As for giving it low ratings based on an album cover, you need to be put down.

Kasabian Are Back!

Listend to the album start to finish a few times. Great ride. They're back. Back to making music rather than trying to write songs like they did on the previous album. This is right up there with West Ryder & 1st album. Sign of a truly great band is they have at least 3 great albums and you don't have a favourite because they're all different with their own sound.....P.S Any fan taking an album cover or title into consideration are not music fans. Also it never did the beatles any harm on the White album did it?

Absolute Dross!

Iv heard the album and its garbage! The lyrics are so bad. I do not no why serge feels the need to be heard on every song these days Tom is heard less and less these last couple albums, serges' singing is unspeakably bad. Terribly disappointed

Kasabian took the British press by storm in the early 2000s by mixing traces of the Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, and Primal Scream with Oasis-sized confidence and DJ Shadow-influenced electronics. Named after Linda Kasabian, Charles Manson's getaway driver turned state witness, the Leicester-based group also stole a page from the Band by moving into a remote farmhouse to brew its music. Communal life and a slew of shared influences produced an electronic, rock-oriented sound that harked back to the...
