The great tunes just keep on coming

This album picks up where the brilliant Hipsters left off. Upbeat positive and cheerful throughout, Bethlehem Begins is a great opener and single A New House really deserves to break the Top 40. The highlight of the album for me is the outstanding quartet of tracks in the second half - the funk of Sometimes I wish I was a girl like you, the soul of Win, the energy of Wild and bounce-along-ability of March. All in a great album. Really looking forward to hearing these tracks live later in the year.

Back for Good

No not Take That but the Tour de Force which is a rejuvenate Deacon Blue. I was concerned when I heard that a new album was coming out two years after The Hipsters as new material has been slim up to that point but Ricky has generated a second wind with the band which hopefully will run on and on. They took me through my early twenties now it looks like they will be joining me for my forties and the world is a better place for that. Great job FIVE STARS.

The Deacs are back !

Great to have Ricki and co back with a bang, what a pop record the best since Raintown. Luv Ï wish i was a girl like you”and Ä new house” to pick just two but there is not a bad song on the album. feel good music, great harmonies with Lorraine, stop reading and go buy now !
