Album Review

In the two years since their debut record, Come Around, was released, Sing It Loud have done some growing up. You can see it in their promo photos, where in place of Day-Glo colors and wacky hairstyles the group is shown in earth tones and leather with sensible haircuts. The album cover shows the shift too, from Come Around's new wave-inspired design and color scheme to a somber sunset photo of a deserted beach and boardwalk on Everything Collide. Most importantly, the sound of the band has changed from a barely contained, bursting-with-energy blast of fun to a more restrained and warm, often melancholy, almost adult feel. The keyboards have shifted from cheesy synths to organ and pianos, the guitars are less prominent and more layered, the vocals are less adolescent, and there are almost as many ballads as there are good-time rockers.

Making Progress

THe Group have come a long way from the Raw blast of energy days.
Albums got a more mature, smooth melodic sound. The old energys still
there. They can still "Bang it Out".
Its just delivered with a proficiency and tighter playing that
comes with time & experience.
Good Album, worth getting lots of replay, plenty of tracks that "grow on you"

Can't decide!

Found these guys on TTR 4 and was blown away! I adore American Alternative bands cos they portray such emotion and pure epicness. But sometimes things can be too good! I don't have enough to buy the whole album! So what songs do people recommend??

Wow

What a great new album by "sing it out," I've got their other albums/EP's but this one really feels complete , smooth and together and just makes me smile listening to it. Haven't got any top songs just yet as I've only listened to the clips, but I'm buying it right now :)
