The Original and the Best!!!!!

An important cross-over album that introduced many non-dance fans into the genre, Adventures beyond the Ultraworld is an ambient masterpiece and undoubtedly the piece of work which gained them most followers. Pulsing, dubbed out rhythms and sounds grow and fade accompanied by some classic samples and beautiful instrumentation. If you like your homegrown then this is your perfect partner!

It defined it's era

I'll take you back... The dance scene as we know it had only just begun - the Happy Mondays hadn't long brought back from overseas a revolutionary aspect of that movement (come on, we know what I'm talking about), and acid house transformed into rave. I couldn't tell you how many nights I drifted off to sleep listening to this album - but even now, over 15 years later, it takes me back to a time when we smoked, we danced and we came down. Not always in that order.

open your mind!

This album is a masterpiece ive heard many orb tracks but this is the first time iv'e listened to this complete album, I cant believe it is from 1991! it sounds like something from 2030, listen to this and chill, reflect or just dance!!

The group popularized the genre as well, by appearing on the British chart show Top of the Pops and hitting number one in the U.K. with the 1992 album U.F.Orb. Frontman Dr. Alex Paterson's formula was quite simple: he slowed down the rhythms of classic Chicago house and added synth work and effects...
