Album Review

This Original Album Classics release from Legacy includes all three of Eumir Deodato's releases for Creed Taylor's CTI label: Prelude (1973), Deodato 2 (1973), and In Concert (1974). These were among Deodato's most commercial releases, exemplified by the number two pop hit "Also Sprach Zarathustra (2001)," found on Prelude. The three albums appear as they were originally released on CD, and they're slipped inside a plain but functional cardboard sleeve. When it was released, it tended to retail for a price lower than the sum of the albums purchased individually, but it quickly went out of print.
