After 15 years, 20 recordings and over four million albums sold, the independent new age piano phenomenon has finally secured a major label deal with Atco/Atlantic. No doubt the label was aware of the popularity of Danny Wright's previous holiday discs Christmas by Candlelight and Just Wright for Christmas, and decided another seasonal affair was the way to introduce him to their roster. Wright's arrangements are simple, sweet and direct, balancing gossamer upper register melodies with the deeper emotions of lower register chords to create an overall feeling of peace and romantic warmth. To his credit, his four prayer/lullaby oriented originals flow beautifully and naturally among the ultra-familiar material. If you like Jim Brickman and David Lanz's holiday albums, this is Wright for you.
