Jack White has triumphed

I don't get why everyone's so up in arms about this song, I really don't. I think it's simply quite gobsmacking how Jack White has managed to compose a traditional, typical Bond song, with the horns and sweeping spy themes, whilst approaching it in an original and refreshing fashion, and at the same time stamping *himself* all over it - the drums, the scratchy guitar... pure Jack. Quite astonishing. Alicia and Jack's voices blend beautifully together as well, I would never have thought of putting them together before. The point of a Bond song is to get the audience geared up for the drama and action that is to come, and I think this song does just that. A good modern Bond song, or a modern Bond audience. x x x

Although she shared the charts with R&B contemporaries like Destiny's Child, Keys' talent distinguished her as a different sort of diva, one who played a variety of...
