23 Songs, 1 Hour 9 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

Bookended by the first “new” Beatles recordings since the band’s breakup in 1970, Anthology Highlights gives an incredible overview of the band’s creative process and artistic development. This music is an integral part of The Beatles’ story — a portion that lay untold for nearly three decades. This 23-track collection follows the band from mono recordings and early live sessions to outtakes and studio sessions from their middle psychedelic period, culminating in the sweeping, live-in-the-studio, soul-driven grooves of their final years.

Perfect for anybody that doesnt want the full three double cd collections or perhaps cant afford them all, but for the real Beatle enthusiast I would still recommend getting the original anthology collections.

Good selection

There is a lot of interesting material on the Anthology discs, but it's scattered across 6 CDs together with, let's be honest, a heck of a lot of filler. So, even though I already have all of the original Anthology CDs, I actually find this compilation much easier to listen to. Thanks, chaps.
