why have explicts?Keep to Jeff Waynes version!anyway,it is good.

Some good, mostly bad. But the good's quite good.

I don't take this album as a personal insult to my memory original, or anything quite so dramatic. But I think it's fair to say that this 're-imagining' could have been quite a lot better. A note: the narrative at the heart of Jeff Wayne's original went out of the window here, so don't be expecting a story; this album's about the music.

I'm quite fond of some of the tracks - two of the too-numerous 'Eve of War' remixes, Stephen Murphy's 'Dead London' and 'Red Weed' and the KCW rendition of 'Spirit of Man' - and I go back to them quite frequently. That said, the mainstay of the album will leave most people cold, myself included. My advice: preview them somewhere and then cherry pick your favourites.

Another note: I do think this one's a step up on "UllaDUBUlla Vol. 2" - that one really does cheapen the original.

Hope that's helpful.

It's good!

I like a lot of the reviewers grew up listening to the original. Forget that. This is a modern twist and isn't supposed to be like the original as there is no continuity to it like the original. This is an up to date version and really well done as well. I can bridge between the old and the new very happily. Older guys, put your prejudices on the shelf and just listen and enjoy.

He was born in New York, the son of actor Jerry Wayne, but he ended up being raised for four years in England, when his father was cast in the role of Sky Masterson in the original London production of Guys and Dolls. In New York, he attended Forest Hills High School and his keen interest in music,...
