As is always

This guy performs at the highest levels. Track 8 is a classic...if you are a weller fan it's not to be missed. More songs for the legend enjoy.

A Fitting End

This album marks the end of the mid 90's / early 00's Weller sound before he moved onto the more experimental 22 Dreams and Wake Up the Nation, but this does not make it any less significant. Weller signs off this period and band line up with an album that stands up against the classics from this period Wildwood and Stanley Rd.

It has a varied mix of Rock, Folk and Jazz influences and holds one of Weller's greatest singles From the Floorboards Up. But as with all Weller albums its the bits you won't have heard that cement his place amongst British Musics Elite, check out Roll Along Summer, The Pebble and The Boy and The Start of Forever, and a storming opening Blink and You'll Miss It.

Essential in your collection but that said so its practically everything this fella does !

A brilliant album from start to finish. It gets off to a kicking start with Blink and You'll Miss It and just keeps going. Come On/Let's Go, and From the Floorboards Up have a raw, live feel to them. The Start of Forever and Fly Little Bird slow it all down and Roll Along Summer adds some contrast. There's a bit of everything in here. Weller is so accomplished and isn't afraid of mixing it up. He's come a long way since his Jam days. His evolution's been an unbelievable musical journey - a truly awesome performer and another must buy album.

As the leader of the Jam, Paul Weller fronted the most popular British band of the punk era, influencing legions of English rockers ranging from his mod revival contemporaries to the Smiths in the '80s and Oasis in the '90s. During the final days of the Jam, he developed a fascination with Motown and soul, which led him to form the sophisti-pop group the Style Council in 1983. As the Style Council's career progressed, Weller's interest in soul developed into an infatuation with jazz-pop and house...
