Customer Reviews

THE FIRST ALBUM IS BETTER,HAPPIER AND MORE UPBEAT.GET IT AND SMILE LOTS MORE.

The first time I heard this bunch of lads they instantly jumped out at me for being abit different and I REALLY liked that.Happy, upbeat, querky and I didnt know quite how to class them.I mean they fall into so many different styles....from garage punk to rockabilly.Man they even sound like a funked up early Dylan. They definatley have a retro tip to them and I think thats very refreshing as many styles are getting abit stale. So I got their first album and LOVED it.So when I heard about their second album and cracking single I couldnt wait. Now its here its abit moody.Dont get me wrong its still good but the first album is fresher, happier and will get played more if you have it.
ALL IN ALL THE FIRST ALBUM IS BETTER GET IT YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.

BE BRAVE

This album is as good as the first, hope its not to long to wait for the next one.

Biography

Formed: 2002 in Dallas, TX

Genre: Alternative

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Brainwashed by years of exposure to an American Bandstand cassette (a circa 1966 show, apparently) in their mother's car, brothers Ryan and Philip Sambol started bashing out their own take on British and psychedelic rock while still attending high school in Dallas, TX. With Ryan on guitar and vocals, and Philip on bass, the brothers honed their retro sound on their own before enlisting Matt Hammer on drums and Greg Enlow on guitar and keys, forming the group now known as the Strange Boys in 2004....
