A Mystery They Are these brothers!

This review concerns all the 'Dransfields' music... thorough, fine, colourful, folky, pretty, dark, serious, very meaningful. Those are a few words to get us started and some out of the way with. Barry is the kind of musician that just looks right into your heart, his eyes are like dangerous piercing bullets of wisdom... but so kind. I made a cup of Tea with him, and saw him play and every moment is like a trip back to the albums. Be glad to own this music.... ITS BEAUTIFUL ! ! ! Thank you Barry Dransfield! Luke Day xxx

Known for his unique way of holding his fiddle across his chest rather than under his chin, allowing him to sing at the same time, Barry Dransfield has played a seminal role in the evolution of British folk music since the late '60s. He recorded several memorable albums with his brother, Robin, including Rout of the Blues, which was named Best Folk Album of 1970 by the British music magazine Melody Maker.
