iTunes Review

Following A Hard Day’s Night and a globe-trotting tour, Beatles For Sale debuted in 1964. The band’s fourth album touches on two sides of the band’s personality. The Beatles were exploring new musical and lyrical ideas as heard in the folk rock-tinged, poetic lyrics of “Eight Days a Week” and “I’ll Follow the Sun”. John Lennon provided a mixture of melancholy and melody on the opening tracks “No Reply” and “I’m a Loser”. On the flip side, they were still knocking out fiery renditions of their favourite rock ’n’ roll classics, such as “Rock and Roll Music” and “Everybody’s Trying to Be My Baby”.

OH Lonely Scouser.Your tempting fate mate,Bad mouth the Beatles and Liverpool could get relagated. It's true.Have you never heard about that.?
Overpriced? Well everything on iTunes is overpriced as far as I'm concerned.Overrated? Never.
Not their best album of course, but still blows everybody else away.Past and present.
Calm down calm down.

So mature!

The Beatles really matured with this album. It was the natural step which evenaully led them to create Rubber Soul and Revolver- two of the greatest albums of all time.

I love Paul's voal in "No Reply" and John's in "I'm a loser"- it's got that kind of bluesey feeling to it, that song. Best song: Eight Days A Week- best Beatles song in their early carear. It had all the positvity that was sweeping the nation, into one single song!

I love this album!

Rip Off

These ancient tracks are double in price over modern stuff, why?

So much has been said and written about the Beatles -- and their story is so mythic in its sweep -- that it's difficult to summarize their career without restating clichés that have already been digested by tens of millions of rock fans. To start with the obvious, they were the greatest and most influential act of the rock era, and introduced more innovations into popular music than any other rock band of the 20th century. Moreover, they were among the few artists of any discipline that were simultaneously...
