Same old, same old!!

I'm a big 50 fan but after listening to this album I can't help but feel that he and his music has become stuck in a rutt. Other big name mainstream hip hop artists like Jay Z and Kanye West are trying to move with the times and seem to strive to keep things fresh, not so for 50 Cent. This album although tight in it's production and gritty in it's vocals is merely more of the same. After the success of his first couple of albums and his huge fan base worldwide I'm sure that this album will be a massive hit but I feel that he is in serious danger of becoming the next Nas, producing album after album of merely acceptable tracks. Even 50's mentor Eminem put out an awesome album earlier this year in Relapse and even though some people moan that he talks to much about Kim and Hayley etc. At least he has new life experiences to rap about. 50 is a millionaire and almost every song on this album is gun or murder related, I wonder how many people he has actually killed recently? Please 50, you are a huge talent, great voice, great image, millions of fans, don't rest on your laurels, be creative, innovate and take it to the next level.

Following an unsuccessful late-'90s run at mainstream success (foiled by an attempt on his life in 2000) and a successful run on the New York mixtape circuit (driven by his early-2000s bout with Ja Rule), Eminem signed 50 Cent to a...
