iTunes Review

An entire glorious album of arena-friendly choruses. The Londoners' tactics for building on 2013’s triumphant Bad Blood? Go unapologetically large. This second album is a walloping triumph, each track swirling with synth-pop purpose and building up to giddy key changes and those euphoric, sing-along choruses. “Good Grief” will soundtrack future summers, “Warmth” puts the (wild) world to rights, while “Send Them Off!” is a brassy punch-the-air anthem.

Bastille are addictive

Literally obsessed with Bastille. Loved them way back when they did they're amazing cover of "rhythm of the night" could listen to dan's amazing voice for dayyssss

Solid sophomore album, they don’t forget what they do best all the while maintaining a mix of alternative ballads laced with electronic harmonies and of course Dan’s unique vocals. The lyrical work is stronger, each song progresses in being better in parts to the former and still keeping that underlying anthemic sound they managed to create in their debut.

Ok, I'm biased as I love these guys but this is a great album. It took a couple of listens to fully appreciate it and I have now also seen them perform it live which was fantastic. Original lyrics and arrangements along with Dan's unique voice (he was spot on all night live by the way 👍🏻😉). Brilliant and long may they continue.

The group began as the solo project of singer/songwriter Dan Smith -- whose birthday is July 14 (aka Bastille Day) but became a full-fledged band in 2010 with the addition of Chris Wood, William Farquarson, and Kyle Simmons. Bastille attracted a lot of attention after putting a few tracks online, leading to support slots at major U.K. festivals...
