iTunes Review

Singer Gerard Way funnels his finest storytelling skills into a gleefully morbid tale of cancer and chemo, final words and flatlines. In simple terms, The Black Parade is the Sgt. Peppers' of the Tim Burton/Warped Tour generation. A tasteful tribute to the Queen's and the Bowie's it "borrows" from in scope and sound.

The Black Parade's Come - And It's Got Me

Surely the best album of the three they have ever made?! The guitar string bending, pick scraping excellence of this album is unexplainable. When you first hear the're like..'WHAT?!' Where is the old Gerard's voice...and then slowly ever so slowly. We hear it creep back in. Oh the joy of it all. When I first heard the song 'Welcome To The Black Parade' I was horrified...MORTIFIED in fact. How could Gerard and the KREW do such a thing?! And then it grew on me. And i ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. Songs I order you to put on repeat - Cancer - it's a tearful experience but oh sooo good! The End. - acoustic intro leads into a spectacular guitar twanging and drum slamming track. This Is How I Disappear - OH SO GOOD! Basically all of the songs you must put on repeat - Especially TEENAGERS! - it's so random but it's so good! Tracks to skip - NONE! Go out Buy It Listen To It Love It Just Don't Deny It's Beautifullness!! The Black Parade's Come - And It's Got Me! Has It Got You?

MCR - Biggest band on the plant

Wow, what can I say? This album is just mind blowing. Every signle song is unique and incredible. It tells the story of what happens to you when you die, you join the black parade. My favourite songs on the album are: Teenagers, Dead!, This Is How I Disappear. The Sharpest Lives, Welcome to the Black Parade, Cacncer and Mama. You just have to buy it, right this second.... and My Chemical Romance are the biggest and best band on the planet :).

Excellent Mature Album

It's amazing to listen to how much MCR have matured since the days of Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. All of the songs hav a distinct feel to them and make the album seen much more grown up, professional and complete. I think MCR have picked up a feel of some of the classic Queen songs, for example, you can hear these excellent melodies in the introduction track "The End.". Long gone have the days of Poppy Emo, welcome to not only the Black Parade but a new Rock Opera MCR. Personal highlight has to be Track 11 - Teenagers.

Formed: 11 September 2001 in Newark, NJ

Genre: Alternative

Years Active: '00s, '10s

With their emo-punk songwriting, theatrical vocals, and neo-goth appearance, My Chemical Romance rose from the East Coast underground to the forefront of modern rock during the early 2000s. In keeping with the tragic element of the group's best-known singles -- including "Helena," "I'm Not OK (I Promise)," and "Welcome to the Black Parade" -- My Chemical Romance has roots in catastrophe, as frontman Gerard Way decided to form the band after watching the World Trade Center collapse on September 11,...
