Legendary masterpiece, must for Dylan fans!

am suprised to find no other reviews, to date, of BOTT on Itunes...this was the album that made Infidels so accessable to me ( I would take Infidels over any other BD album... if i were forced under duress to take only 1). Like the best in Sub Home Blues, Desire, Street Legal, Slow Train Coming, Infidels, Time Out of Mind it has the epic, teasingly opaque narrative content that is so thrilling and infectious in BD's work, great story telling that is non linear and stream of conscoiusness. Of course we feel much of BD's work and especialy BOTT is autobiographical (whatever that means exactley?), but also like William Blake's model for the true artist " ... not the single vision of Newtons sleep...but a four fold vision of swift association and joyfull leap" us room to project ourselves into the work and essentialy continue it...the beauty here is that when youve been listening to a great lyricists albumn for 10/20/30 years or evolves as you do... so it remains as fresh as the first time you listened and loved it...although i have to say im a little jelous of the first time listener who falls in love with it, over a weekend say...its like a great discovery and it changes you a little.

A Story Of Marriage.

This album is lyrically amazing because it tells tales of how his marriage was with Sara. Bob mentions a lot about how she was the one who done the wrong things in their marriage life but also clearly sang about him cheating on her and how he was also far from perfect.

Pure Genius

When a true master , and by that i mean a Mozart or Beethoven of his time , creates the best piece of work he has ever made ,
then you know it must be something very special . Dylan just does exactly that with this astonishing effort . For me , one of the best 5 albums ever made .

Bob Dylan's influence on popular music is incalculable. As a songwriter, he pioneered several different schools of pop songwriting, from confessional singer/songwriter to winding, hallucinatory, stream-of-consciousness narratives. As a vocalist, he broke down the notion that a singer must have a conventionally good voice in order to perform, thereby redefining the vocalist's role in popular music. As a musician, he sparked several genres of pop music, including electrified folk-rock and country-rock....
